REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP





a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





b. Remove the 2 screws and assist grip.





2. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the bezel.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





3. REMOVE SWITCH BEZEL (w/ Power Trunk Lid System)
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the bezel.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





4. REMOVE NO. 2 COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the luggage compartment light.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER LH
a. Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear combination light service cover LH.

6. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER RH
a. Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear combination light service cover RH.





7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH
a. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and cover.





8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH
a. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and cover





9. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER
a. Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.
b. Remove the 10 clips and cover.





10. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPENER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the screw and door lock opener.





11. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and luggage door closer.





12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LOCK CYLINDER
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 nuts and lock cylinder.





13. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH (w/ Power Trunk Lid System)
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 screws and door control switch.





14. REMOVE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear View Monitor)
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 nuts and television camera.

15. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
16. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
17. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE





18. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts.
c. Remove the 2 clips and back door garnish.





19. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 screws and license plate light assembly.





20. REMOVE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 screws and opening switch.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY





a. Install the opening switch to the back door garnish retainer with the 2 screws.





2. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Install the license plate light with the 2 screws.

3. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Attach the 2 clips.





b. Install the back door garnish retainer to the luggage compartment door with the 2 bolts.
c. Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
5. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
6. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH





7. INSTALL TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear View Monitor)
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the television camera assembly with the 2 nuts.





8. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL SWITCH (w/ Power Trunk Lid System)
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the door control switch with the 2 screws.





9. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LOCK CYLINDER
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the lock cylinder with the 2 nuts.





10. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the luggage door closer with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)





11. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPENER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the door lock opener with the screw.





12. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM COVER
a. Install the cover with the 10 clips.
b. Attach the 4 clips.





13. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH
a. Install the cover with the 3 clips.





14. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH
a. Install the cover with the 3 clips.

15. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER LH
a. Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.

16. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER RH
a. Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.





17. INSTALL NO. 2 COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the courtesy light with the claws.





18. INSTALL SWITCH BEZEL (w/ Power Trunk Lid System)
a. Attach the 2 claws to install the switch bezel.





19. INSTALL DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL
a. Attach the 4 claws to install the handle bezel.





20. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP
a. Install the assist grip with the 2 screws.





b. Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.

21. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
22. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
