On-Vehicle Inspections

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. INSPECT CHECK SHIFT LOCK OPERATION
(a) Move the shift lever to the P position.
(b) Check that the shift lever cannot be moved to any position other than P.
(c) Turn the power switch on (IG), depress the brake pedal and check that the shift lever can be moved to the other positions.
2. CHECK SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON OPERATION
(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the shift lock release cover.
(b) When operating the shift lever with the shift lock release button pressed, check that the lever can be moved to any position other than P. If the operation cannot be done as specified, check the shift lever assembly installation condition.
3. OPERATION CHECK
(a) Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS/ OBD/MOBD / HV ECU / ACTIVE TEST / SHIFT.
(d) Select the following menu items: USER DATA / B1 OIL PRESS, B2 OIL PRESS, LINE PRESS, LINE PRESS SOL.
(e) Perform the SHIFT active test.
(f) Read the user data.





(g) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(h) Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS/ OBD/MOBD / HV ECU / ACTIVE TEST / OIL PMP-500 rpm, OIL PMP-1000 rpm.

NOTICE:
Make sure that the auxiliary battery is not discharged.

(i) Select the following menu items: USER DATA/ OPM TARGET REV, OPM REVOLUTION.

NOTICE:
OPM TARGET REV and OPM REVOLUTION values are almost the same.
