Companion Flange Dust Deflector
Dust Deflector and Dust Cover1. Replace the companion flange dust deflector by doing the following.
a. Using the 09950 - 00020, 09950 - 60010 (09951 - 00510)Special Service Tool (SST) and a press, remove the dust deflector.

b. Using the 09316 - 60011 (09316 - 00011) SST and a press, install a new dust deflector.
2. Replace the side gear shaft dust cover by doing the following.
a. Using the 09950 - 00020 SST and a press, remove the dust cover.

b. Using the 09502 - 24010, 09950 - 60020 (09951 - 00780), 09950-70010 (09951 -07150) SST and a press, install a new dust cover.
NOTE: If the dust cover does not fit tightly against the flange of the side gear shaft, use a screwdriver to drive it down tight.
