Expansion Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL


Fig. 36 Exploded View Of Cooling Unit:





1. Remove evaporator case and separate upper and lower case.Service and Repair
2. Disconnect the liquid line.
3. Remove packing and heat sensing tube from the suction tube of the evaporator.
4. Remove expansion valve.


INSTALLATION
1. Reverse removal procedure.

Note:
Be sure O-ring is positioned on the tube fitting.
Torque inlet fitting to evaporator 230 kg.cm (17 ft.lb, 23N.m)
Torque liquid tube fitting to expansion valve 140 kg.cm (10 ft.lb, 14N.m)
