Liftgate Rattle - Latch-to-Striker

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
Range Rover Sport (LS)
VIN: CA717166 - Onwards
Model Year: 2012 - Onwards

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:
A rattle noise may be heard from the Liftgate. This may be caused by the liftgate latch where it contacts the latch striker.

Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to apply PEOX 612 Paste to the liftgate latch / striker.

The PEOX 612 Paste should be locally sourced from the Squeaks & Rattles Kit and must be claimed as sublet using code other *(up to $6.22)*.

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

LUBRICATE LIFTGATE LATCH / STRIKER





1.* Remove the liftgate lock latch cover*.





2. Apply PEOX 612 Paste around the barrel of the striker and the interface section of the latch claw.





3.* Install the liftgate lock latch cover*.
