AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
LR4 (LA) VIN: CA596992 - CA605665 (specific USA vehicles only)

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
A concern had been identified on a limited number of 2012 model year LR4 vehicles within the VIN range above where the HD Radio, function may not be enabled.
Action:
Retailers are required to HOLD the affected vehicles within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new or used vehicle sale pending completion of the rework action detailed in this Technical Bulletin. For vehicles in retailer inventory, this UPS should be performed in conjunction with the vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). For vehicles in retailer inventory which have already had the PDI completed, this UPS should be completed prior to final preparation / customer handover. For those vehicles already in the hands of customers, this should be done at the next available opportunity prior to the expiration date.

NOTE:

Warranty claims should be submitted quoting the Program Code Q180 together with the relevant Option Code; this will result in payment of the stated time. As Option Codes are used, there is no requirement to enter SRO information; these are displayed for information only. The option that allows for drive in / drive out may only be claimed if the vehicle is brought back into the workshop for this action alone to be undertaken.
This Update Prior to Sale Notice is valid for a limited time only and will expire on 24 May 2012. All Warranty claims up to this date must be submitted for payment within 30 days of completion of the repair.
