Transmission Shield Loose / Rattle

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: The underbody transmission shield may be loose or rattles.
Cause: This may be caused by the three rear fixings becoming loose due to insufficient retention.

Action: In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to install new securing clips and bolts.

KYG500380 ............. Bolts Qty: 3
LR027995 ................ Clips Qty: 3

Refer to Workshop Manual for any required special tools

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

REMOVE EXISTING AND INSTALL NEW TRANSMISSION SHIELD SECURING CLIPS AND BOLTS

1. Remove and discard the three (3) transmission shield securing bolts.




2. Remove and discard the three (3) transmission shield securing clips.





3. Install the three (3) new transmission shield securing clips.





4. Install the transmission shield.

- Install the three (3) new transmission shield securing bolts.

- Tighten to 9Nm.
