Liftgate Window Glass
Removal
CAUTION: Always protect paintwork and glass when removing exterior components.
NOTE:
The liftgate glass striker is bonded to the liftgate glass and cannot be adjusted or replaced.
1 Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Specifications
2 Remove the rear spoiler. For additional information, refer to Rear Spoiler Service and Repair
3 Remove the liftgate glass trim panel. For additional information, refer to Liftgate Window Glass Trim Panel
4 Remove the rear window wiper motor. For additional information, refer to Rear Window Wiper Motor Service and Repair
5 Release the headlining.
- Release the liftgate seal.
- Release the 2 clips.
6 Release the liftgate wiring harness.
- Release the gaiter.
- Release and disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the washer jet hose.

WARNING: Make sure the liftgate is supported.
Remove the liftgate glass support struts.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Repeat the above procedure for the other side.

WARNING: Make sure the liftgate is supported.
With assistance, remove the liftgate glass.
- Remove and discard the 2 nuts.
Installation
1 With assistance, install the liftgate glass.
- Tighten the nuts to 25 Nm (18 lb.ft).
2 Install the liftgate glass support struts.
- Secure the clips.
3 Install the liftgate wiring harness.
- Connect and secure the electrical connectors.
- Connect the washer jet hose.
- Install the gaiter.
4 Install the headlining.
- Install the clips.
- Install the liftgate seal.
5 Install the rear window wiper motor. For additional information, refer to Rear Window Wiper Motor Service and Repair
6 Install the liftgate glass trim panel. For additional information, refer to Liftgate Window Glass Trim Panel
7 Install the spoiler. For additional information, refer to Rear Spoiler Service and Repair
8 Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Specifications
9 Check the liftgate glass alignment and adjust if required.
