Floor Console




Instrument Panel and Console - Floor Console


This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Remove the floor console upper panel.

3. Release the transmission selector lever.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector






4. Release the selector cable.
- Remove the clip.






5. Remove the transmission selector lever mount bracket.
- Remove the 4 bolts






6. Remove the driver side closing trim panel.
- Release the clip.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.






7. Remove the passenger side closing trim panel.
- Release the clip.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.






8. Remove the floor console.
- Manoeuvre the front seats to allow access.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the screw covers.
- Remove the 2 screws.


Installation

1. Install the floor console.
- Connect and secure the electrical connectors.
- Install the screws.
- Install the screw covers.

2. Install the transmission selector lever mount bracket.
- Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).

3. Install the transmission selector lever.
- Secure the cable.
- Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
- Connect and secure the electrical connectors.

4. Install the driver side closing trim panel.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Secure the clip.
- Tighten the screws.

5. Install the passenger side closing trim panel.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Secure the clip.
- Tighten the screws.

6. Install the floor console upper panel.

7. Connect the battery ground cable.
