Front Safety Belt Retractor

Service Repair No - 76.73.13

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Make the air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) safe.
3. Remove the B-pillar trim panel.
4. Remove the safety belt guide.
^ Remove the 2 bolts.







5. Release the safety belt from the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
^ Remove and discard the nut.

6. Remove the front safety belt.
^ Release the front safety belt retractor.
^ Remove and discard the bolt.

Installation

1. Install the front safety belt.
^ Secure the front safety belt retractor.
^ Install the new bolt and tighten to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).

2. Secure the safety belt to the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
^ Install the new nut and tighten to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs..).

3. Install the safety belt guide.
^ Tighten the bolts to 6 Nm (4.4 ft. lbs.).

4. Install the B-pillar trim panel.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
