PINPOINT TEST G1196495p8 : 0X0008 INNER FRONT RIGHT HAND PARKING AID SENSOR

G1196495t22 : 0X0008 INNER FRONT RIGHT HAND PARKING AID SENSOR
1. Activate the parking aid system.
2. Using manufacturer approved diagnostic equipment check for DTCs.

- Is DTC 0x0008 set?

-> Yes
Go to H2.

-> No
The parking aid system is operating correctly.

G1196495t23 : 0X0008 CHECK THE WIRING HARNESS
1. Remove the rear bumper. Do NOT disconnect any connectors. Support it carefully, close to the rear of the vehicle.
2. Using manufacturer approved diagnostic equipment clear the DTC.
3. Activate the parking aid system.
4. Using manufacturer approved diagnostic equipment check for DTCs.

- Is DTC 0x0008 set?

-> Yes
Go to H3.

-> No
The Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor signal wire is short circuit to chassis ground.

REPAIR the wiring harness.

G1196495t24 : 0X0008 CHECK THE PARKING AID SENSOR CONNECTOR
1. Swap the Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor with the Outer Front Left Hand Parking Aid Sensor. Check both sensors are connected to the bumper harness connectors.
2. Using manufacturer approved diagnostic equipment clear the DTC.
3. Activate the parking aid system.
4. Using manufacturer approved diagnostic equipment check for DTCs.

- Is a DTC set?

-> Yes
If DTC 0x0008 is set check.

The Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor signal wire is short circuit to chassis ground.

The Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor signal wire is short circuit to adjacent ground circuit.

The Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor signal wire is short circuit to adjacent power circuit.

The Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor is not connected.

The Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor signal wire is open circuit.

REPAIR the wiring harness.

Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor connector pin damage or corrosion.

If DTC 0x0005 is set check.

Replace the Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor.

-> No
The Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor was not connected correctly.

Investigate possible cause of intermittent failure in the Inner Front Right Hand Parking Aid Sensor signal wire short circuit to chassis ground.
