Oil Pressure Check

WARNING: The spilling of hot engine oil is unavoidable during this procedure, care must be taken to prevent scalding. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

NOTE: Before checking the oil pressure, carry out a 6 mile (10 kilometer) road test. Do not attempt to achieve normal operating temperature by allowing the engine to idle.

1. Remove the engine oil pressure sensor.
2. Install the special tool to the oil filter housing.
3. Install the special tool gauge and tighten the union.





4. Check and top-up the engine oil, if required.
5. Start and run the engine.
6. Note the oil pressure readings with the engine at idle and at 3,500 rpm.
Specifications
7. Turn off the engine.
8. Remove the special tools.
9. Install the oil pressure sensor.
10. Check and top-up the engine oil, if required.
