Inspection and verification
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious mechanical or electrical faults.

Mechanical Electrical
^ Audio unit condition and fitment
^ Speaker condition and fitment Fuses CJB - fuse 42P CJB - fuse 52P CJB - fuse 53P CJB - fuse 57P CJB - fuse 58P BJB - fuse 18E
^ Amplifier condition and fitment
^ Satellite radio tuner
(SDARS) condition and fitment Electrical harnesses
^ Remote control condition and
fitment Fibre optic cable harnesses
^ SDARS /global positioning system
(GPS)/telephone antenna Harness connectors
^ Side and rear screen
antennae Antenna amplifiers Infotainment relay
^ Audio/Video
Input/Output (AVIO) panel CAN circuits
MOST circuits

3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step
4. Use the approved diagnostic system or a scan tool to retrieve any DTCs before moving onto the symptom chart or DTC index.
^ Because the DTCs are stored in more than one module, a complete vehicle read is recommended.
^ Make sure that all DTCs are cleared following rectification.
