Rear Wheel Speed Sensor

Service Repair No - 70.65.31


Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

2. Remove wheel and tire.
3. Release the wheel arch liner.





4. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector
^ Open the electrical connector housing
^ Release the electrical connector from the clip





5. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor
^ Release the wiring harness from the 5 clips
^ Remove the bolt

Installation
1. Install the rear wheel speed sensor
^ Apply the anti-seize compound to the ABS sensor
^ Secure the wiring harness in the clips
^ Tighten the bolt to 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.)
2. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector
^ Secure the electrical connector clip
^ Close the electrical connector housing
3. Secure the wheel arch liner
^ Tighten the screws
4. Install the wheel and tire
^ Tighten the whell nuts to 140 Nm (103 ft. lbs.)
5. Using a Land Rover approved diagnostic system, clear the fault codes from the ABS ECU.
