Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the radiator access panel.
4. Remove the oil filter.
^ Position a container to collect the fluid.
NOTE: Note the fitted position of the oil cooler assembly.
5. Remove the oil filter adapter.
^ Release the cooler from the oil filter head.
CAUTION: Engine coolant will damage the paint finished surfaces. If spilt, immediately remove the coolant and clean the area with water.
6. Clamp, then disconnect the coolant hoses from the oil cooler.
^ Position container to collect fluid loss.
7. Remove the oil cooler.
Installation
1. Install the oil cooler.
^ Tighten the adapter to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.)
2. Connect the coolant hoses.
^ Position and secure the clips.
^ Remove the hose clamps.
3. Install the engine oil filter.
^ Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil and tighten to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs).
4. Connect the battery ground cable.
5. Check and top-up the engine oil.
6. Top-up and bleed the coolant.
7. Install the radiator access panel.
