Cover - Squab - Front Seat

Service Repair No - 78.90.08


Remove

1. Remove seat assembly.







2. Remove Allen bolt securing arm rest.
3. Remove armrest from boss.







4. Release 3 backboard tension straps from under seat.







5. Release staples securing squab cover to lower backboard.







6. Release squab side cover from both sides of backboard.
7. Release 2 studs securing lower half of backboard.
8. Release backboard from seat.







9. If fitted: Disconnect headrest display unit multiplug and release harness from 4 clips.
10. Carefully release 2 retaining clips securing headrest to motor housing.
11. Remove headrest.







12. Disconnect harness multiplugs from lumbar pump and valve.
13. Disconnect multiplug from heated seat circuit.







14. Release harness from retaining clip and feed harness through squab cover.







15. If fitted: Disconnect headrest display unit multiplug and release harness from 4 clips.
16. Remove 2 Torx bolts and remove squab frame from seat frame.







17. Raise front of squab cover to gain access to head rest guides.
18. Release headrest retaining clips, remove headrest guides.







19. Remove squab cover and pad from frame.
20. Remove and discard 12 hog rings and remove cover from pad.

Refit

1. Position squab cover to pad and secure with hog rings.
2. Position and fit squab cover to frame.
3. Fit and secure headrest guides in squab frame.
4. Position squab frame to seat frame, fit Torx bolts tighten to 25 Nm (18 lbf.ft).
5. Fit headrest.
6. If fitted: Connect headrest display unit multiplug and secure harness with clips.
7. Route lumbar harness through squab cover and secure to frame.
8. Connect multiplug to heated seat circuit.
9. Connect lumbar harness multiplugs to pump and valve.
10. Position backboard to seat assembly, fit studs securing lower of backboard.
11. Position and fit both sides of squab cover to backboard.
12. Position lower squab cover to backboard and staple.
13. Fit backboard tension straps to under seat retaining clips.
14. Fit armrest to boss and secure with Allen bolt, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lbf.ft).
15. Fit seat assembly.
