Driver/Vehicle Information Display: Service and Repair



86.50.81 Head Unit - Multi-information Display

If the head unit is to be replaced, then Testbook/T4 must be connected and correct procedures adhered to, prior to battery disconnection.

Remove
1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Remove top rail finisher.





3. Remove 6 Torx screws securing display housing to carrier.





4. Up to 05MY: Release housing and harness from carrier, disconnect multiplug and aerial.





5. From 05MY: Release housing and harness from carrier, disconnect 2 multiplugs, 3 cables and the fibre optic connection.





6. From 05M: Remove 4 Torx screws securing display unit and remove unit.





7. Up to 05MY: From rear of housing, release clips securing display unit.
8. Up to 05MY: Disconnect multiplug from display unit and remove unit.

Refit
1. Up to 05 MY: Connect multiplug and fit display unit to housing.
2. Up to 05MY: Position housing to carrier, connect multiplug, aerial and secure harness.
3. From 05MY: Fit display unit to housing and secure with Torx screws.
4. From 05MY: Position housing to carrier, connect multiplugs, cables and fibre optic connection.
5. Fit and tighten screws securing housing to carrier.
6. Fit top rail finisher.
7. Initiate a new component using TestBook/T4.
