Rear Seat Entertainment Interface Module



86.53.48 Rear Seat Entertainment Interface Module

Remove
1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Remove access panel from load space LH trim casing.
3. Remove load space LH stowage bin cover.
4. Raise and support spare wheel cover.





5. Remove Allen bolt securing lashing ring and remove ring.
6. Remove 2 turnbuckles securing load space LH rear trim casing.
7. Carefully release and remove trim casing.





8. Remove lower turnbuckle securing load space LH front trim casing.
9. Remove trim stud securing load space LH front trim casing to stowage bin.
10. Remove 3 nuts securing stowage bin, carefully release and remove bin.





11. Remove 2 bolts and 2 screws securing the rear seat entertainment interface unit upper bracket and remove the bracket.





12. Release rear seat entertainment interface unit from its lower location.
13. Disconnect fibre optic connection from rear seat entertainment interface unit.

CAUTION: Cover fibre optic cable connectors to minimize dust ingress. Avoid bending the cables in a radius of less than 30 mm.

14. Disconnect 7 remaining connections from rear seat entertainment interface unit and remove the unit.





15. Remove 2 screws securing rear seat entertainment interface unit lower bracket and remove bracket.

Refit
1. Fit lower bracket to rear seat entertainment interface unit and secure with screws.
2. Make and secure connections to rear seat entertainment interface unit.
3. Position rear seat entertainment interface unit to its lower location.
4. Fit rear seat entertainment interface unit upper bracket and secure with screws. Tighten bolts to 10 Nm (7 lbf.ft).
5. Fit stowage bin and secure with nuts.
6. Fit trim stud securing the load space LH front trim casing.
7. Fit the turnbuckle securing the load space LH front trim casing.
8. Fit LH rear trim casing, align to tailgate seal and fit turnbuckles.
9. Fit lashing eye and tighten Allen bolt to 25 Nm (18 lbf.ft).
10. Lower and secure spare wheel cover.
11. Fit stowage bin cover.
12. Fit access panel.
13. Initiate a new component using TestBook/T4.
