REPAIR PROCEDURE

ADJUST HARDBACK "ROOF OFF" SWITCH

NOTE:
The removable hardback roof must be fully and correctly installed to complete this procedure.

1. Verify that the roof is properly installed.

2. Refer to RAVE section 76.13.13 and remove in order the following interior trim:

^ RH rear quarter lower casing

^ RH rear body side casing

^ RH rear quarter upper casing

3. Identify the three screws securing the body opening finisher/trim. (Arrowed in Figure 1)

4. Slacken the three screws.

NOTE:
The roof off microswitch (circle insert in Figure 1) is mounted on the body opening finish trim. Approximately 5 mm (0.200 inch) of vertical movement is available for switch adjustment.

5. Push the finisher firmly upward to completely depress the "roof off" micro-switch against the hardback roof.

6. Hold the finisher in the position required for proper switch operation and tighten the securing screws to 2.0 Nm (18 lbf.in.).

7. Refer to RAVE section 76.13.13 and install the removed trim components.
