SITUATION:
RATTLE NOISE FROM GLOVEBOX AREA
The customer may notice an intermittent rattle from behind the glovebox.
RESOLUTION:
DROP THE GLOVEBOX AND SECURE LOOSE CABLE
When a customer has complained of a rattle in the glovebox area, drop the glovebox to the fully down position and investigate for loose cables in the area. Follow the procedure below.

Access cables behind glovebox and secure

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
POSITION AND SECURE CABLES BEHIND GLOVEBOX
1. Lower the glove box.
2. Release side latches to drop the glovebox completely down for access behind the dash panel.
3. Inspect to determine that the coaxial cable is located behind the HVAC blower mounting bracket and that it is secured with a cable tie on the left side.
4. If inspection reveals that routing and cable tie are not properly made, remove the two bolts securing the blower-mounting bracket.
5. Locate the cable behind the HVAC blower and install the mounting bracket.
6. Secure the SRS wire and coaxial cable to the blower mounting bracket on left side with a cable tie.
7. If slack is apparent in cable cluster on right side, secure with a cable tie.
