NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) below refer to numbers in illustration.

REMOVAL
1. Turn ignition off and disconnect battery negative lead.
2. Remove lower trim panel.
3. Disconnect multiplug (3) to switch.
4. Depress brake pedal to access front of switch.
5. Pull sleeve and plunger of switch (5 and 8) fully forward.
6. Remove switch from rear.

NOTE: If switch is difficult to release, ensure sleeve is fully forward.

INSTALLATION
1. Pull sleeve and plunger (5) of switch fully forward.
2. Depress brake pedal, install switch, ensure retaining clips (6) are fully engaged.
3. Hold switch firmly in place, pull brake pedal back fully to set switch.
4. Reconnect battery and turn ignition on.
5. Check switch operation by slowly depressing brake pedal and checking that the switch clicks twice.
6. Check stop lamps go off when pedal is released.
7. Recheck switch is securely fitted.
8. Install lower trim panel.
