Sunroof Installation

Note:
13/64" drill bit shanks can be used as locking pins if the original equipment pins are not available

1. Lay new upper sunroof assembly on bench, glass side up. Make sure locking pins are in place.





2. Check gap as indicated in figure 2.

It must be 6.5 mm. or .25 in. (figure 2).

3. If gap is incorrect, loosen four installation screws in panel and adjust as necessary.

4. Tighten screws to 3-3.5 Nm. (26-3O lbf. in.).

5. Lay adjusted upper sunroof assembly into roof opening.

6. Install lower sunroof assembly with 14 Torx(R) screws.





7. Using the sequence illustrated in figure 1, tighter screws to 2-3 Nm. (17-26 lbf.in.).

8. Temporarily connect battery.

9. Connect sunroof motor and run until microswitch stops motor.

10. Insert 4 mm alien wrench in motor and rotate motor counter-clockwise exactly one revolution.

11. Install sunroof motor and fasten with three screws and tighten to 2-3 Nm. (17-26 lbf in.).

12. Remove locking pins

13. Test sunroof operation and disconnect battery.
