All front lights will illuminated during the "flash to pass" mode.

ACTION REQUIRED

All 1995 Model Year Range Rover 4.0 SE's sold in the State of Pennsylvania require this modification. Follow the procedure below to install the service kit.

PARTS INFORMATION

LRNASEALHC - Link Harness Kit

PROCEDURE

A. Harness Installation.

1) Disconnect the vehicle's battery.

2) Remove the passenger's seat base trim to gain access to the BeCM.

3) Refer to illustration 1. Drill a 13/64" hole in the seat tower located as shown. Attach the relay base to the tower using the hardware provided. The harness will point away from the BeCM.

4) Referring to the Range Rover 4.0 SE Electrical Troubleshooting Manual and illustration 2, crimp and solder the link harness to the vehicle's harness as instructed. To properly perform this you will need a crimping tool from Radio Shack, part # 64-410 (or equivalent). Crimp connector must be crimped as shown in the before and after illustration. It is required that all crimped connections be soldered and then taped.

5) Position the fuse holders to allow access through the window of the seat base.

6) Replace the seat base trim.

B. Switch removal and installation.

1) Remove the driver's knee bolster and the trim around the instrument pack.

2) Open the center console and remove the two screws for the window switch pack.

3) Remove the trim from both sides of the console by pushing them down and back after removing the two screws.

4) Pull off the trim around the radio and then remove the five screws securing the main switch panel to the dash.

5) Remove the fog lamp switch from the main switch panel. Remove the front cover and both illumination bulbs from the old switch. Discard the switch body.

6) Prepare the new switch for installation by pressing the front cover from the old switch onto it. By using the bulbs from the old switch ensure both bulbs in the new switch are green. Install the new fog lamp switch into the panel.

7) Reverse the procedure above and replace all interior trim pieces removed.

8) Reconnect the battery and verify the functionality of the fog lamps.

9) Reset the windows and the sunroof. Re-synchronize both alarm transmitters. Code the radio and set the clock to local time.

C. Vehicle configuration.

1) Connect the vehicle to TestBook and select the BeCM Reprogramming icon.

2) Choose the Vehicle Options icon and then the Options icon.

3) Reset the BeCM to a "no fog lamps fitted" status.

4) Follow the prompts to disconnect TestBook from the vehicle.
