Repair Procedure
GLASS CLIP ATTACHMENT1. Remove front door glass as per WSM section 76.
2. Mark the location of the glass clips on the window glass as shown by the numbers 1 and 2 in Figure 1.
3. Remove old adhesive from glass with a sharp edge. Make sure to remove all visible traces of the old adhesive.
NOTE:
It is important that the glass be completely clean when the beta-wipe process is complete.
4. Apply beta wipe glass activator on both sides of the glass surface using a clean cloth or tissue.
5. Shake beta prime plastic primer for at least a minute for thorough mixture and apply to the new glass clip with a clean brush.
6. Ensure that all the inside surfaces of the clips are covered. Allow 10 minutes to dry.
7. Shake glass primer for at least 1 minute and apply primer to the area on the door glass where the clip will be installed (Figure 2).
8. Allow ten minutes for glass primer to dry.
9. When primer is dry apply HV3 adhesive to the new clip as follows:
^ Position the nozzle at the base of the clip on both sides.
^ Inject the adhesive towards the center of the clip as shown in figure 3.
10. Install new clip immediately to window glass in location marked in step 1.
11. Allow 48 hours for adhesive to set before installing the window to the door.
