Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

Inspection

1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect evaporator temperature sensor.
3. Using the multimeter, Measure resistance between terminal "1" and "2" of evaporator temperature sensor

Specification





4. If the measured resistance is not within specification, replace the evaporator temperature sensor.
5. If the evaporator temperature sensor resistance in within specs. check the voltage between pins 1 and 2 of the harness. If the reading is not 5v, repair/replace harness and controller.
