Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection

Inspection

Notice Cooling fan motor relay is located in the engine compartment fuse/relay box.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.





2. Remove cooling fan motor relay from engine compartment fuse/relay box.





3. Check continuity with an ohmmeter.





4. Apply 12 V to terminal 85 and ground to terminal 86. Check for continuity between terminals 30 and 87.
5. If there is no continuity, replace fan motor relay.
