Update Prior to Sale: Passenger-Side Wiper Blade
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
To ensure 2012 model year XF and XJ vehicles are supplied to customers with the very latest parts to enhance the vehicle owners experience, vehicles within the affected VIN ranges above require a new passenger-side windshield wiper blade.
Action:
Dealers are required to HOLD all affected vehicles in the VIN range above that are in their control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new or used vehicle sale pending replacement of the passenger-side windshield wiper blade.
For vehicles in dealer inventory which will be delivered on or before 29 February 2012, this Update Prior to Sale should be performed in conjunction with the vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). Certain recently delivered vehicles within the affected VIN range, shown as eligible in DDW and already in the hands of owners, should be updated at the earliest convenience prior to 29 February 2012.

Repair procedures are under constant review and therefore times and prices are subject to change; those quoted here must be taken as guidance only. Always refer to DDW to obtain the latest repair time.
Warranty claims should be submitted quoting Program Code K118 and the relevant Option Code. The Option Codes that contain the drive in / drive out SRO may only be claimed if the vehicle is brought back into the workshop for this action alone to be undertaken.
This Update Prior to Sale notice is valid fora limited time only and will expire on 29 February 2012. All Warranty claims prior to this date must be submitted for payment within 30 days of completion of the repair.
