Procedure 7 - Install Reinforcement Bracket to Front (LH) Motor
REPAIR PROCEDURE 7: V00477 - V08099NOTE:
New motor and casting assemblies have the reinforcement brackets already installed If the vehicle has had a new motor and casting assembly replaced as part of a previous repair, the reinforcement bracket may already be installed Do not install a bracket in this case.
NOTE:
Motor shown removed for clarity; motor located above LH rear grab handle.
1. Open Panoramic roof front blind.
2. Remove the two screws from the Panoramic roof front (LH) blind motor.
CAUTION:
Ensure the reinforcement bracket is installed as shown.
CAUTION:
Ensure the motor is located correctly on the dowels.
3. Install the reinforcement bracket to the motor:
^ Apply Loctite(R) 263 to the end of the threads of the Torx bolts.
^ Install and torque bolts to 4Nm (3lbf ft).
4. Continue to next appropriate Repair Procedure.
