Throttle Body: Description and Operation

Throttle Body Assembly
The throttle body controls the airflow into the engine by use of the throttle motor and throttle position sensor. Throttle-disc position is operated by the throttle motor via signals received from the accelerator pedal position sensor, via the ECM. The ECM via the throttle position sensor monitors throttle disc angle. The ECM on application of external loads, for example the air conditioning compressor, makes compensation to the throttle disc angle.
