: DTC P0567: CHECK THE STEERING WHEEL SWITCH CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND

G240073t6 : CHECK THE STEERING WHEEL SWITCH CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2. Wait one minute for the system to become safe.
3. Disconnect the ECM electrical connector, PI01.
4. With the switches NOT operated, measure the resistance between PI01, pin 47 (YG) and GROUND.
5. With the switches NOT operated, measure the resistance between PI01, pin 48 (YR) and GROUND.

- Is the resistance less than 10,000 ohms?

-> Yes

-> No

G240073t7 : CHECK THE STEERING WHEEL SWITCH FOR SHORT TO GROUND
1. Disconnect the steering wheel switch electrical connector.
2. Measure the resistance between steering wheel switch electrical connector, pin 01 (SR) and GROUND.
3. Measure the resistance between steering wheel switch electrical connector, pin 03 (S) and GROUND.

- Is either resistance less than 10,000 ohms?

-> Yes

-> No
INSTALL a new speed control switch assembly. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

G240073t8 : CHECK THE STEERING WHEEL CLOCKSPRING FOR SHORT TO GROUND
1. Disconnect the clockspring electrical connector, SW08.
2. Measure the resistance between SW08, pin 06 (YG) and GROUND.
3. Measure the resistance between SW08, pin 08 (YR) and GROUND.

- Is either resistance less than 10,000 ohms?

-> Yes
REPAIR the short circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

-> No
INSTALL a new clockspring. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
