REPAIR ROOF OPENING PANEL APERTURE

CAUTION:
Ensure adequate protection of glass roof opening panel.

CAUTION:
Protect below the repair area to collect / remove swarf and paint debris.

NOTE:
The notch must be deburred, smooth and flowing, and free of cut and file marks.

1. Install protection to glass roof opening panel and the area below the notch.

2. Using a suitable high-speed rotary tool ('Dremel(R)'), carefully remove material to create a smooth curved profile within the notch, blending out without increasing the height of the notch. (Figure 3)

NOTE:
Allow suitable time for drying between and after all coats.

3. Apply primer, color coat, and clear coat lacquer to the reworked area to give corrosion resistance and an acceptable cosmetic condition.

4. Remove protection from the vehicle.

5. Verify roof opening panel operation.
