Fender (Wing) Assembly Front

Pre-Repair Activities
Bumper cover front

Consumables
None.

Mechanical, Electrical and Trim, remove and install:
Fender (wing) liner
Bumper fixing front
Horns (LH)
Sill outer trim
Fender (wing) trim
Side repeater lamp

MET Tools
10 mm socket
3/8" drive ratchet
Torx screwdriver
T30 Torx bit
Pozidrive screwdriver
Suitable trim tool

Panel Tools
10 mm socket
3/8" drive ratchet
Torque wrench

01. The fender (wing) assembly is a category B bolt on panel.

Remove MET items as listed.
Complete 'Pre-Repair Activities'.

Remove securing bolts from:
- Fender to Sill (2 x 10 mm)
- Fender to front pillar (2 x 10 mm)
- Fender to air flow panel (2 x 10 mm)
- Fender to fender reinforcement (4 x 10 mm)

Remove hood (bonnet) adjuster (located at point A)
Remove rubber trim from beneath panel (located at point B)







02. Remove and fit new panel.

Fit and re-trim panel in reverse order.
Check alignment using swage lines of adjacent panels.

Refit securing bolts and torque to settings:
- Fender to air flow panel (2 x 10 mm) point A.
- Fender to sill (2 x 10 mm) point B.
- Fender to front pillar (2 x 10 mm) point C.







03. Refit securing bolts and torque to settings:
- Fender to fender reinforcement (4 x 10 mm)

NOTE: Bolts are pre-coated to inhibit galvanic corrosion and are reusable only if coating is undamaged.

Torque settings:
- Fender to sill
(2 x 10 mm bolts): 10.5 Nm.
- Fender to A post
(2 x 10 mm bolts): 10.5 Nm.
- Fender to Fender reinforcement
(4 x 10 mm bolts): 10.5 Nm.







04. On completion of panel replacement, the following checks should be carried out:
1. Panel gaps.
2. Hinge operation.
3. Lock alignment.
4. MET operation.
