Shift Linkage: Service and Repair

Removal





1. Unclip the parking brake boot.





2. Detach the center console upper section.





3. Remove the gearshift lever knob.
^ Pull sharply towards the vehicle headlining.





4. Detach the gearshift lever rubber gaiter.
^ Push down through the floor pan.
5. Raise and support the vehicle.





6. Detach the selector rod.
^ Remove the selector rod locating clip.





7. Detach the stabilizer rod.
^ Remove the clevis pin.





8. Remove the shift linkage mechanism.

Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
