Headliner: Service and Repair
HEADLINING
Removal
1. Motor front seats to fully forward position and fully recline squabs.
2. Remove sliding roof trim panel. Service and Repair
3. Remove sliding roof flange finisher.
4. Remove battery cover and disconnect ground cable from battery terminal.
5. Remove casing and armrest from front passenger door.
6. Remove rear console extension (where fitted). Service and Repair
7. Remove centre console. Service and Repair
8. Remove sun blinds.
9. Remove combined grab handle and coat hooks.
10. Remove LH rear quarter upper trim. Service and Repair
11. Remove RH rear quarter upper trim.
12. Remove LH and RH 'A' post/cantrail trim pads.
13. Remove sun visors. Service and Repair
14. Remove roof console.
15. Release multiplugs from retaining clips at roof console location.
16. Disconnect security sensor harness (black) multiplug.
17. Remove roof console front retaining clips from header.
18. Release headlining from roof retaining tangs and position it with rear corner through passenger side rear door and opposite rear corner through driver side rear door.
19. Remove security sensors.
20. Position headlining diagonally across the vehicle with the roof console aperture straddling the B/C post.
21. Tilt headlining forward under bottom of fascia until rear edge is diagonally positioned across front passenger door aperture.
22. Pass headlining through front passenger door aperture, exercising care to ensure that edge cut outs clear aperture and any obstructions.
Installation
1. With headlining positioned vertically diagonal, rear edge outwards, pass it carefully through the front passenger door aperture.
2. Carefully tilt and slide headlining back until roof console aperture straddles B/C post then rotate it until correctly aligned.
3. Fit security sensors.
4. Lift headlining to roof, tilt to position above tangs at one side, then bow slightly to position above tangs on opposite side.
5. Fit roof console front retaining clips.
6. Connect security sensor multiplug.
7. Fit multiplugs into retaining clips at roof console location.
8. Fit roof console.
9. Fit sun visors.
10. Fit cantrail crash rolls.
11. Fit LH rear quarter upper trim.
12. Fit RH rear quarter upper trim.
13. Fit LH and RH 'A' post/cantrail trim pads. Service and Repair
14. Fit combined grab handles and coat hooks.
15. Fit sunblinds.
16. Fit centre console.
17. Fit rear console extension (where fitted). Service and Repair
18. Fit casing and armrest to front passenger door.
19. Connect ground cable to battery terminal and fit battery cover.
20. Fit sliding roof flange finisher.
21. Fit sliding roof trim panel. Service and Repair
22. Return front seats to original positions.
