Engine/Security Set-Up

Engine Set-up

The only item that can be adjusted on Engine set-up is the kick down switch. The remainder of the engine system is adaptive and non-adjustable. The engine set up routine checks the adaptive parameters and provides details of any corrective actions required on the PDU screen.

CAUTION:
Under no circumstances should any adjustments be made to the throttle motor assembly. This unit is non-serviceable.

Security Set-up

The Security set-up includes a number of new options. The first is an initialized security process which synchronizes the Key Transponder Module (KTM) with the Engine Control Module (ECM). It should be performed when either of these units is replaced. Failure to do so will prevent the vehicle from starting.

Two body system programming features have been added to the Security Set-up; Drip Wipe Enable and DI Repeater Enable. Both features are accessed by selecting Body Systems and then Security Set-up.

Drip Wipe Enable activates the feature that make the wiper motor perform a single sweep of the screen 4 seconds after the wiper has been switched off. The feature also allows Drip Wipe to be inhibited.

DI Repeater Enable. This programming feature is performed after DI Repeaters are fitted. In effect, it allows DI Repeater Bulb Failures to be detected. The simplified method of programming remote transmitters introduced with PDU 1040 is retained for PDU 1055. The software automatically programs the next available free memory location. The operator only becomes involved if all 5 locations have been used.
