Air Bags/Datalogger/Action

General

A completely new airbag system is installed in the 1998 MY V8 Sedan Range. This has single point sensing, a diagnostic module that stores air bag DTCs, side impact air bags and seat belt pretensioners as well as driver and passenger air bags. All the DTCs are supported by the Air Bag Control module and used by the PDU to direct technicians to the cause of faults.

PDU1O55 enables operators to monitor the following air bag parameters on datalogger: Driver's Air Bag Resistance Passenger's Air Bag Resistance Left Pretensioner Resistance Right Pretensioner Resistance Driver's Side Airbag Resistance Passenger's Side Airbag Resistance Number of permanent diagnostic trouble codes

All of the above parameters are fully supported with help text.

Ensure that this software is installed immediately. Retain PDU 1045 in a secure place as a backup CD-ROM in the event 1055 is damaged.
