ABS/TC

PDU 1055 introduces a new in line test adapter for the ABS/Traction control system. The adapter is designed for use on 1998 MY V8 Sedan Range and XK8 vehicles. Instructions on how to connect the in line adapter are given on the PDU screen at the appropriate time during a diagnostic session.

WARNING!
The In line adapter must never be used in a moving vehicle.

ABS/TC CONFIGURATION/RECONFIGURATION

During the first ignition cycle, the CAN NWM tokens (module identification messages) are read by the ABS/TC control module to determine what the vehicle is; e.g. 4.0L, Supercharged, Normally aspirated etc. The module then automatically configures itself Although in the past this operation was performed just once, PDU 1055 provides the means to repeat the process. Operators wishing to use this feature should select the ABS CONFIGURATION and SETUP menus and follow the on screen instructions.
