NOTE: This sensor is an integral part of the ECM and cannot be serviced, its failure will result in the ECM being renewed (DOES THIS MEAN FAILURE OF THE MAF METER WILL DAMAGE THE ECM?)


DTC P0101 Mass or volume circuit range/performance problem

Possible Source(s):
- Blocked air cleaner
- Poor air system sealing
- Engine breather leak
- Throttle control malfunction
- Barometric pressure sensor fail (see note below)
- Crank position sensor fail
- Harness open circuit
- Harness short
- Connector loose or corroded
- ECM fail

Action(s) to take:
- GO to V1 P0101

DTC P0102 Mass or volume circuit low in put

Possible Source(s):
- Sensor (+) open circuit
- Sensor ground open circuit
- Harness open circuit
- Harness short
- Connector loose or corroded
- ECM fail

Action(s) to take:
- GO to W1 P1104

DTC P0103 Mass or volume circuit high input

Possible Source(s):
- Sensor (+) open circuit
- Sensor ground open circuit
- Harness open circuit
- Harness short
- Connector loose or corroded
- ECM fail

Action(s) to take:
- GO to W1 P1104

DTC P1104 Mass or volume circuit ground malfunction

Possible Source(s):
- Sensor (+) open circuit
- Sensor ground open circuit
- Harness open circuit
- Harness short
- Connector loose or corroded
- ECM fail

- GO to W1 P1104
