Idle Speed Control (ISC)

Condition(s):

DTC P0506 idle control system rpm lower than expected

Possible Source(s):
- Throttle valve stuck closed
- Electronic throttle body failure
- Air intake blockage
- A/C compressor seized
- ECM failure

Action(s) to take:
- GO to Pin point Test M P0506

DTC P0507 idle control system rpm higher than expected

Possible Source(s):
- Throttle valve stuck open
- Electronic throttle body failure
- Air leak between throttle body and engine
- Engine breather leak
- Air leak between MAF meter and throttle body
- Vacuum system failure (cruise control system)
- ECM failure

Action(s) to take:
- GO to Pinpoint Test M P0506
