Powertrain 4L80-E Transmission - Noisy Rear Mount - Modification Procedure

ISSUE:
Some vehicles equipped with Powertrain 4L80-E transmissions within the above VIN ranges, may exhibit a knock or squeak from the area of the transmission tunnel. The noise may be traced to movement of the damper peg of the rear transmission mounting against the surrounding foam bush.

An improved peg and bush was introduced in production from VIN 734672 for the XJR and 738562 for the XJ12.
