Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation
Throttle position is detected by the [1][2]throttle position sensor (TPS) (4) which reports to the ECM. The closed throttle position switch (CTPS) (idle switch) is integral to the throttle position sensor.Fig. 1 EMS System Schematic:
