Internal Tank Hoses

Fuel Pump Module:





- Remove the fuel tank assembly. Service and Repair

Note: Operations within fuel tank assembly must only be performed with use of screwdriver JD 175, or equivalent.

- Release clip and disconnect breather hose from the evaporative loss flange.
- Using tool JD 174, displace and remove the evaporative loss flange retaining ring.
- Reposition the flange for access to the fuel pump harness multi-plug, disconnect the multi-plug.
- Using screwdriver JD 175 release the internal feed and return hose securing clips and disconnect hoses from the pump assembly.
- Using a twisting action, remove the pump assembly.
- Slacken the feed and return hoses to internal stub pipe securing clips and remove the hoses.
- Fit new feed and return hoses to the internal stub pipes.
- Fit and fully seat the fuel pump assembly to the mounting, engaging the master lug.
- Reposition hoses to the pump and tighten securing clips.
- Fit and seat new evaporative flange seal.
- Connect evaporative loss flange to pump multi- plug.
- Seat evaporative loss flange to seal.
- Using tool JD 174 secure flange with retaining ring.
- Connect and secure breather hose to flange stub pipe.
- Refit the tank by reversing the removal operations.
- Ensure new '0' rings and seals are fitted.
- Ensure all electrical connections are clean and secure.
- Check all flange, hose and pipe connections for security and signs of leakage.
