Oil Line
REMOVE
- Remove left catalytic converter.
Cylinder Head Oil Pipe Banjo Bolts:
- Remove the banjo bolts from the rear of each cylinder head.
- Remove the four-way banjo connector bolt at the throttle pedestal.
- Remove the oil filter.
Engine Block Oil Pipe Banjo Bolt:
- Remove the banjo bolt from the cylinder block oil gallery and manoeuvre the oil pipes clear.
- Remove the oil pressure switch from the four-way banjo.
- Discard all sealing washers.
REFIT
- Fit the oil pressure switch to the replacement banjo/feed pipe assembly.
- Manoeuvre the replacement banjo/feed pipe assembly into position.
- Refit the banjo bolt using new sealing washers (JAG P/N C4146), to the cylinder block oil gallery.
- Torque tighten the bolt.
- Refit the oil filter.
- Refit the four-way banjo connector (using new sealing washers) to the throttle pedestal.
- Refit the banjo connectors (using new sealing washers) to each cylinder head.
- Torque tighten the banjo bolts.
- Refit the catalytic converter.
- Check/top up the oil level.
TORQUE
Banjo bolt (cylinder block) 32-36 Nm
Banjo bolts (cylinder heads) 23-27 Nm
Catalyst stays to converter 8-9.5 Nm
Catalyst stays to tie plate 8-9.5 Nm
Filter bowl bolt 20-25 Nm
Filter canister 8-11 Nm
