Throttle Pedal:
PURPOSE AND OPERATION
Throttle pedal allows driver to adjust amount of engine output dependant upon varying power demands. Pedal is connected to throttle cable. As pedal is pushed towards floor, cable is pulled, which operates bellcrank on throttle pedestal. Two linkage rods are connected to bellcrank and they operate throttle plates. In order to operate properly, accelerator cable, throttle plates, and linkage rods must be properly adjusted.
