Temperature Gauge: Description and Operation
COOLANT TEMPERATURE INDICATORDESCRIPTION
The coolant temperature indicator provides a bar-graph indication of the engine coolant temperature. The gauge is calibrated over a range 50°C to 130°C and is operated, via B53-5, RS22-8 and RS7-2, by a sensor having an electrical resistance which decreases with increasing temperature. The gauge has a red surround which flashes when the temperature becomes critically high.
