Deceleration Valve: Description and Operation

The overrun valve is calibrated to open and limit manifold depression under conditions of closed throttle overrun. This ensures that air is available to maintain a combustible air/fuel ratio under all conditions. Air bleeds into the inlet manifold at 22.2 in/Hg (564 mm/Hg) depression.
