Fuel Injector Resistor: Description and Operation

In order to protect the ECU from injector shorts, there is a ballast resistor wired in series with each injector. These resistors will limit fault current to a safe value, thus protecting the ECU. The ballast resistors for each injector are housed in a single unit which is secured to the right-hand front engine valance by two screws.
