Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove bolts attaching the air cleaner, then loosen clamp bolt.
3. Lift air cleaner assembly slightly, then remove the hot air hose.
4. Remove manifold cover attaching bolts, then the manifold cover.
5. Remove EGR pipe clip from upper portion of transmission, and disconnect EGR pipe from exhaust manifold.
6. Disconnect oxygen sensor wiring at connector.
7. Remove exhaust pipe to manifold attaching nuts, then disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold.
8. Remove exhaust manifold attaching nuts, then the exhaust manifold.
