Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

Fig. 3 Detent downshift cable adjustment:

1. Loosen cable adjustment nuts, Fig. 3, then with throttle lever at wide open position, adjust inner cable by turning lower adjustment nut on outer cable so that inner cable is provided with a play of about .04 inch.
2. Tighten upper locknut.
3. Check that stroke of inner cable with throttle at wide open position to closed position is with 1.37 - 1.41 inches.
