Some 1983 Isuzu Impulses

SERVICE INFORMATION

Some 1983 Impulse Air-Conditioning compressor clutches may fail to operate properly, by either not engaging or staying engaged at all times.


SERVICE PROCEDURE




1. A/C Compressor Clutch WILL NOT DISENGAGE. Replace armature assembly and hub.

Parts Required:

ARMATURE ASSEMBLY SERVICE KIT #8-94149-499-0

HUB #8-94123-149-0

(See Fig. 1)

2. A/C compressor clutch WILL NOT ENGAGE

SYMPTOM - A REPAIRS

Clutch will not engage and rust Replace compressor
is not present on clutch cover assembly and clutch;
and/or armature plate. Oil magnet.
leakage may or may not be present.

Compressor Assy. #8-94132-235-0 Clutch; magnet #8-94167-688-0


SYMPTOM - B REPAIR

Clutch will not engage and Replace armature assembly
rust is present on clutch
cover and armature plate.

Parts Required:

Armature Assy.
Service Kit # 8-94149-499-0
